How do I share the gospel with someone who has no church background?
I want to explain the gospel clearly to a friend who has never been to church. Where do I start?
A clear, simple framework helps: God, Man, Christ, Response.
1. God: a good, holy God created us to know Him and reflects His glory (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 19:1). 2. Man: every person has sinned and fallen short of God's standard, which separates us from Him (Romans 3:23). 3. Christ: God sent His Son Jesus to live a perfect life and die in our place, taking the punishment we deserved, and rose again defeating death (Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4). 4. Response: we respond by turning from sin and trusting in Jesus alone for salvation, not our own good works (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Beyond the framework, the most persuasive thing is usually your own story — how you came to trust Christ and how He has changed your life. Ask good questions, listen well, and let the gospel's own power do the convincing (Romans 1:16).
